Big water news on way for Trim-12,000 Customers to Benefit - Meath Live

The news that improved and more secure water supplies are on the way for Trim has been welcomed by Independent Councillor Noel French.Uisce Éireann, has commissioned a new dissolved air flotation and Filtration treatment system at Trim Water Treatment Plant. The new system involved an investment of €1.5 million and is designed to improve and reliability and resilience of the treatment plant and benefit 12,000 customers in the community.

e system is now fully operational and a period of testing has been taking place over the last month. Ivan Corcoran, Programme Manager, Uisce Éireann, said “We’re delighted to complete this significant upgrade to the water treatment plant at Trim. The commissioning of the DAFF project is part of a phase of upgrades by Uisce Éireann to deliver a more robust and resilient water supply in the Trim area.”

Cllr French said that he welcomed the work and hoped it would lead to a major reduction in the number of water outages.
